Schumann's great love for Clara Wieck is at the heart of the Liederkreis, which he describes as \"his most romantic music.\" The Sieben frühe Lieder (Seven early lieder) were composed by Alban Berg between 1905 and 1908 among a hundred other lieder, while he was studying with Arnold Schönberg. They also evoke Love but through nature and the elements, while maintaining a close connection with Schumann's music.
