Released in 1978, "Get It Out'cha System" followed "Feelin' Bitchy," which achieved gold status in 1977 and produced two hit singles. The first single from "Get It Out'cha System" was Jackson's stunning rendition of Kenny Rogers' ballad "Sweet Music Man," which reached number 33 on the American soul singles chart. The other tracks on the album explored Jackson's familiar musical universe, from the tender "He Just Wants To Hear The Words" to "Logs And Thangs," where Jackson warned her man that if he didn't rekindle the flame, she would add a log to the fire! This was the Millie Jackson that her fans adored. "Get It Out'cha System" was certified gold upon its release and peaked at number 14 on the Billboard soul albums chart.
