Recorded on February 1st in Osaka, Japan, at Festival Hall. The band: Sonny Fortune on saxophones, Pete Cosey (who also played synthesizer) and Reggie Lucas on guitar, Michael Henderson on bass, Al Foster on drums, James "Mtume" Foreman on percussion, and Miles Davis on trumpet and organ. Featuring only two resounding epic tracks lasting nearly two hours, "Zimbabwe" and "Gondwana" provide the listener with a unique and primitive form of afro-futurism, a style of jazz-funk that only Miles can deliver.Buy Pangaea at the best price
