Bitches brew 40th anniversary

Description

2 CDs with 94 minutes of the original music + 6 bonus tracks + 1 CD of an unreleased concert at Tanglewood in August 1970 (with Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Dave Holland, Jack DeJohnette, Airto Moreira, and Gary Bartz), + 1 DVD of an unreleased concert in Copenhagen in November 1969 (with Wayne Shorter, Corea, Holland, and DeJohnette). In a 48-page book containing many photos, a text by Greg Tate, the notes from the producers of the reissue (Michael Cuscuna and Richard Seidel), and an interview with Lenny White by Ashley Kahn. Recorded in August 1969, 10 years after the modal revelation/revolution that was already the album "Kind Of Blue," "Bitches Brew" was released on the Columbia label on March 30, 1970. And Miles once again disrupts the contemporary sound landscape. He had already made the 'electric turn' under the combined influences of the works of Jimi Hendrix, Sly Stone, James Brown, and others. With "Bitches Brew," Miles Davis, leading a group of fantastic musicians (Chick Corea, Wayne Shorter, Jack DeJohnette, John McLaughlin, Joe Zawinul, Lenny White...) and with the help of a genius producer (Teo Macero), creates a phenomenal synthesis that propels jazz into the rock era. He also makes the concept of the double album his own, which was very trendy at the time in rock. This will be his first gold record, and he rises to the rank of a true star. It is the 2010 reissue, made for the 40th anniversary of the release of "Bitches Brew," that we invite you to rediscover today in book and record format at a low price.
