Description

The new film by Rebecca Miller with Greta Gerwig (Frances Ha), Ethan Hawke (Before Sunset) and Julianne Moore (Children of Men). A very musical film: The jazzy soundtrack by Michael Rohatyn and the songs by Bruce Springsteen, Don Drummond, Dandy Livingston. Michael Rohatyn has composed the music for all of Rebecca Miller's films (Angela, Personal Velocity: Three Portraits, The Ballad of Jack and Rose, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee) and this is their fifth collaboration. He has also composed the soundtracks for The Delta by Ira Sachs and Habit by Larry Fessenden. He has additionally contributed to short films by Todd Lippy and James Brett and co-wrote with Ira Sachs the screenplay for Forty Shades of Blue, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival 2005. The album also includes the songs Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen, as well as the reggae/ska/rocksteady hits Man in the Street and Musical Communion by Don Drummond, Groove to the Beat by Keith and Ken, and Rudy, A Message to You by Dandy Livingston.
