Encouraged by his friends and family, Michael Nau, a member of the indie-folk bands Page France and Cotton Jones, finally released Mowing last November – to our great delight – which earned him more than favorable critical reception. It is therefore with great enthusiasm that we welcome the announcement of Some Twist, his new album which will be released in June 2017. The news comes amidst a flurry of activity: Michael played the first songs from Some Twist on American radio station KCRW a few weeks ago and two of his concerts sold out in Los Angeles, the exceptional single 'Love Suvvive' is breaking streaming records on Spotify and Elton John played a track by Michael on his show on Beats 1, Apple Music's radio station. The first single from Some Twist, 'Good Thing' was premiered on The Fader, who describes it as a "bright piano weaving and plucked guitars with a refrain that swells with fluffy sonorities and striking percussions". And, always, Nau's characteristic sense of humor in his writing, which gives his tracks their irony and warmth. The album is almost perfectly balanced: sometimes energetic, sometimes tranquil, always rich in penetrating songwriting - the same songwriting that won over Michael's fans from the beginning.
