The album was recorded in early 2020 with producer Dave Fridmann (Mercury Rev, The Flaming Lips) and features contributions from Atticus Ross and Colin Stetson.Mogwai have moved forward without a precise plan since their teenage years; there have been no secret meetings to devise a plan or a guideline.
