Mark Thomas Griffin, better known as MC 900 FT JESUS, is an American rapper based in Dallas, Texas. A classically trained musician and trumpeter, Griffin is known for blending hip hop and jazz. Griffin's work was often considered well ahead of its time with socially conscious lyrics tinged with offbeat and biting humor. Griffin's use of rap, electro, and cool jazz (he often plays like Miles Davis) is perhaps why his song "Falling Elevators" was chosen for a 501 Levi's ad and became a great success.
