Wise Records is pleased to announce the release of the Max Romeo Sings Classics EP. The EP features newly recorded versions of "Kingston Town", "Man Next Door", and "No Place Like Home", recorded with Max's touring band during a break between shows in France, and mixed by legendary producer Dennis Bovell.
Max Romeo, a pioneering voice in roots reggae, is best known for his iconic songs with Lee 'Scratch' Perry (1936-2021), including "War Ina Babylon", "Chase The Devil", and "One Step Forward". Max comments: "I wanted to pay tribute to my fellow writers John Holt and Kenrick 'Lord Creator' Patrick on this record. These legends were not only my peers, but also close friends, and when Patrick left this world, I knew I wanted to do something in his honor, and I also wanted to pay tribute to John Holt, who recently passed away."
