He gained international recognition as a member of the Vienna Boys' Choir before launching his solo career in 1992. After the success of Alessandro by Handel (Diapason d'Or of the year 2013), the Croatian countertenor dedicates his new album to the opera arias of the German baroque music composer Johann Adolf Hasse. Considered one of the masters of Italian opera seria in the 18th century, he was notably a student of Nicola Porpora and Domenico Scarlatti.
