Musical autobiography for some, testament for others, Tchaikovsky's ultimate symphony remains one of the most moving works of his oeuvre. Throughout his career, the composer had the certainty of being pursued by a hostile fate - the fatum - a feeling that he expresses recurrently throughout his production and that permeates the Pathétique. Obviously, this famous fatum is not absent from the choreographic scores of the musician - Swan Lake at the forefront - masterfully and heartbreakingly carried by the singing violin passionately expressing the despair so dear to the composer... Conducted by Paul Daniel, the Orchestre national Bordeaux Aquitaine and violinist Matthieu Arama reveal with emotion the art of the most famous of Russian composers.
