Napoléonette is the first in a series of six vinyl albums by MATTHEW FRIEDBERGER (one half of THE FIERY FURNACES sibling duo), scheduled for release in 2011 and titled Solos. The concept is simple: on each of the six albums, Matthew Friedberger plays only one instrument, thus confronting one family of instruments with another, one instrument with another, and one instrument with itself. On Napoléonette, the piano reigns supreme, supported by the Chicagoan's voice.
