Lisa
Description
Lisa, the first solo album by Masahide Sakuma, originally released in 1984 on the Music Interior series, the section of the JVC label dedicated to ambient.Known for being the bassist of the new wave band Plastics, heavily influenced by the B-52's, Masahide Sakuma later established himself as a key figure on the Japanese scene of the 80s. He collaborated on many cult albums, notably Who Done It? by Hiroyuki Namba, Pegmo, as well as almost all of the records by dip in the pool. With Lisa, Sakuma moves away from the world of Plastics to offer an album with multiple influences: ambient, avant-garde, folk, fusion, new age... A rich and eclectic project, which highlights his talent as a multi-instrumentalist and composer. Each track explores a different universe, while forming a cohesive and captivating whole. Among the highlights: A demain, with neo-folk accents close to Penguin Cafe Orchestra, or Dim, the opening track with new age and introspective atmospheres.Buy Lisa at the best price
