Following the success of his critically acclaimed first instrumental album MG, Martin Gore, songwriter and founding member of the legendary band Depeche Mode, is back and in great shape with a new instrumental EP titled The Third Chimpanzee E.P. set to be released on January 29, 2021 via Mute/[PIAS]. Produced and written by Martin and recorded this year at Electric Ladyboy Studio in Santa Barbara, California, The Third Chimpanzee is a five-track EP with rich and fierce production, blending new wave and slices of atmospheric electro. About the EP, Martin says: "when the time came to name the EP, I remembered reading the book ‘The Rise and Fall of the Third Chimpanzee’. So it made sense to call it that, as this EP was created by one of the 'three chimpanzees'." A rare gem that will take you on a journey through the unique and atmospheric universe of Martin Gore!
