Artist's Note: "When Shooter and I decided to begin the creative process for this album two years ago, we were both on separate tours and had to find time in our respective schedules. We both shared a love for the era when Bowie worked with Brian Eno. I wasn't afraid to step out of my comfort zone by writing music with him. He also helped me overcome my fears of returning to older inspirations. As a producer, he really helped me be inventive while trying new things, all while maintaining the essence of what Marilyn Manson is. His perspectives added the trans-dimensional effect to the project that I had wanted to achieve for a long time. When I listen to We Are Chaos now, I feel like I've remained true, or as if my story is an endless, repetitive loop, as it always has been; recording these tracks and stories makes me feel like I wrote them all today."
