Only fifty years after they were written, La Fontaine's Fables were set to music by Louis-Nicolas Clérambault. Little known to the general public, these pieces offer a perspective that is both fresh and authentic on the comical bestiary with which we are all familiar. La Chapelle Harmonique has chosen to highlight them in this new B Records album, which navigates between recitation, song, and instrumental pieces, immersing us in the atmosphere of the Versailles gardens for a moment of great poetry.
