Description

This is the debut album from Lille-based bass/drum duo Margaret Catcher, whose music is described as "augmented rock." A clever blend of Battles-esque math-rock, Kraftwerk-style electro, and experimental rock reminiscent of Civic Civic, all tied together by a pop-noise approach, "Singularity" is an epic journey through atmospheres and emotions, catapulting the listener into a back-and-forth between past childhood and future, humor and the harshness of reality, happiness and latent anxiety. Much like the album's artwork, Xavier Leloux (vocals and bass) and Pierre Level (drums) transport us into an extraordinary soundscape where rock and electro intertwine, immersing us in a hypnotic and mechanical trance, fueled by an irresistible urge to move and dance. The vinyl is a very limited edition: 150 copies available.
