"I was born in 2000, the year of the dragon, and I’m releasing my debut album in 2024, another dragon year, so the idea felt very natural," Marcin explains about his debut. "And then there’s this idea of harmony, which is the opposite of all that. For the past few years, I’ve done a lot of things, but I haven’t necessarily coalesced them into a whole—everything has been fragmented. But now I'm finally making an artistic statement that is coherent rather than fractured. The dragon is in harmony.” Beginning the album with a pair of cleverly named original compositions, "Guitar Is Dead" and "I Killed It," Marcin makes a bold, declarative statement about the state of the guitar and his personal journey as an artist, brilliantly weaving together melody, harmony, and percussive hand slaps. "‘Guitar Is Dead’ is kind of my response to the guitar purists,” Marcin explains about the album opener, continuing, “It’s me declaring, ‘Yes, you’re right. The guitar is dead.
