L'as des baguettes presents its 10th album The ScOpe, bringing together the roots of groove and the modernity of machines. The drums are at the heart of The ScOpe, a fleshy and celestial electro album, frantic, a chapter of rupture or rather of extension, of pleasure and renewal, added to its expert discography. The record gathers polaroids, thoughts, mantras: 'My reactions to what bores or shocks me, or transports me.' With the desire not to cut the link to others, as recommended for example by the track Keep Connexion, on which a serene kora flows - a solo written especially for Kandia Kouyate - that strikes the flame of a guitar. The ScOpe vibrates from body to soul and vice versa, with an anthem to love that is bright and soaring, Let Love Rules, the atmospheric ballad Don't U Worry or Glow with its pulsing softness. Meanwhile, Tricky 98' illustrates the rise of champions - the track accompanied the entry of the Bleus at the U-Arena last June, 20 years after their victory at the FIFA World Cup. 'The features are important because it's a human voice that speaks to people, with its uniqueness and rhythmic cuts.' Faada Freddy is thus the guest on Vice, warming up a wintery atmosphere with his scansions. And Jazzy Bazz lays his flow on Paris Me Manque, an invitation to nostalgia for ''P.Town'', the Paris of yesterday, wrapped in a tearing bugle. With The ScOpe, Manu Katché puts his emotions under the microscope, he analyzes the alchemy of sounds in a meticulous way and probes beings deeply, striving for the same momentum of musical and spiritual harmony.
