Description

After a first EP in 2024, *Faces Sag Like Melted Wax*, Mansion's Cellar is preparing *Shtshow*, their debut album, the fruit of three years of touring and a notable evolution in songwriting and the use of new instruments—from the saz to the saxophone. The band delivers ten tracks built on a constant rhythmic base, shifting guitars, and dual vocals supported by the ensemble, while the lyrics blend friendship, love, camaraderie, and personal questions tinged with humor. Musically, the band refines a sunny and joyful rock, more effective and open to modern sounds thanks to the use of synthesizers. Their aesthetic finds its identity between dynamic and melodic Australian rock and contemporary Anglo-Saxon rock, with saxophone backing and a saz adding warm harmonies. The album alternates between fast-paced, stage-ready tracks ("Sh*tshow", "Mid Mid"), more naive and luminous titles ("Wide Awake?", "Rendez-vous"), and a more electronic dimension on "You and I" or "Disko Paulig". Mansion's Cellar thus continues their instinctive approach: creating first for themselves, then sharing these bursts of energy and euphoria with an audience that follows their evolution.
