Bye bye Berlin !

Description

During the 1920s, all eyes turn to Berlin! In a shared energy, artists from all backgrounds (writers, painters, architects, filmmakers, composers...) establish the principles of this "new objectivity" that make it the very essence of modernity, but also the echo of the great cities of the world (New York in particular, from where jazz arrives). However, the life of Berliners is not a novel: strikes, misery, emigration, repression, the rise of Nazism; a post-war social context that contributes to a widespread enthusiasm for cabaret, a vital outlet where morals and social critique are liberated! It is this ephemeral and underground universe of Greater Berlin of The Blue Angel that Marion Rampal and the Manfred Quartet invite us to rediscover here, with the collaboration of saxophonist Raphaël Imbert: a generous breath of freedom and humanity conveyed with passion!
