"Originally from Tel Aviv, Magon moved to Paris in the late 2000s, where he formed the duo Charlotte & Magon. 10 years of concerts and 3 albums later, Magon launched his solo career with his first album under his own name: Out In The Dark, released in 2019 by December Square / T.Rex Recordings. This first album reveals the songwriter's DNA: it features influences from Pixies, Dylan, Bowie, and the eternal cool of bands who truly understood it: The Velvet Underground. In early 2021, Magon made his comeback with a second album, Hour After Hour, where he refined his experimental urban rock formula and unveiled new facets, oscillating between sweet pop ballads written for his girlfriend and sharp tracks whose riffs became decidedly more distorted and buzzing than before. Not content with being the sole composer, he also mixed and mastered the album himself: his guiding vision thus enveloped the entire project. The live formation centers around three other musicians, Ferdinand de Fournoux, Ingrid de Samitier, and Guillaume Bugnot, who gradually contributed their own touch to the tracks on this second album. We now arrive at Magon's third album, In The Blue, a title that announces the mystical journey into the colorful and eclectic universe of this album, illustrated by a work by the Inuit artist Ningiukulu Teevee. This album holds a special place in his heart: composed around the birth of his first child, a little girl named Jackie, this album changes in tone compared to previous albums. The tempo slows down, and pop songs take over. Magon's singing is also more confident, without sacrificing that characteristic laid-back style, which was already found in Lou Reed (we come back to him). With tracks like "The Willow" or "In The Blue," the imagery that emerges here is vivid and piercing. Nature is omnipresent in the lyrics, and the colors of the forest, the ocean, and the burning sun gradually impose themselves on the listener's imagination as they listen to these 10 tracks."
