Grit

Description

"Grit" is the third album by the Norwegian band Madrugada in four years. It features powerful music without any reliance on volume. Recorded in Berlin with PJ Harvey's producer, Head, the album builds on Madrugada's success with their previous albums, which have sold over 400,000 copies. The opening track "Bloodshot Adult Commitment" is almost the hallmark of the album 'Grit', with an unrelenting bass line reminiscent of Robert Burås and a gritty atmosphere. The album also includes one of the band's most well-known songs, the softly sung atmospheric ballad "Majesty," where minor key acoustic guitars and strings dominate the sound.
