Carotte Production and Hatcap have decided to introduce you to this imaginary place during a 5-day \"performance\" recording at the Annonay peninsula (smac07). In a single artistic gesture, the team of La Chapelle (make-up artists, cameramen, director, musicians, sound engineer, set designer, dancers, pin-ups, extras, etc.) sought to capture the magical moments of a live interpretation, simultaneously recording the album and the video. A real feat. A few shots of pure fiction are grafted onto this live recording, to further immerse the viewer in the fantastic world of \"La Chapelle\"; the show is not only on stage but also in the audience. Recorded under live conditions, in \"one shot\" with 9 musicians and without re-recording, MAZO wanted to give this Vinyl the spirit of 60s recordings. Only a few takes per track, vintage microphones and instruments: Rhodes, Hammond organ, Leslie cabinet, Gretsch guitar, Twin Reverb amp, double bass, drums, percussion, brass section (trumpet, saxophones, trombone). The majority of the compositions on this Album were conceived with this sixties spirit, although the recording was not made on tape as was customary at the time (MAZO isn't that old either!). The sound recording, mixing, and mastering were done by Bruno Preynat (Mickey 3d, Bikini Machine, MAZO…). The cover and inside of the record were illustrated by Marie Avril, who had already created the MAZO book\/record.
