This two-disc set features four violin concertos by British composers (Bax, Dyson, Veale, and Bliss) recorded by the Russian-born violinist Lydia Mordkovitch, between 1995 and 2006 with conductors Bryden Thomson and Richard Hickox, leading four prestigious English orchestras. Lydia Mordkovitch began her career with the creation of the Chandos label and remained a dedicated artist to English music throughout her thirty-five years of career. Accomplished musician and virtuoso recognized by the public and very often awarded by the press and British institutions.
