A member of Columbine, Lujipeka is opening a new chapter for the collective by releasing his first tracks under his own name, announcing an avant-garde rap project with multiple influences (Lomepal, Post Malone, Tyler The Creator, Billie Eilish). At only 23 years old, Lujipeka is on his way to becoming an accomplished artist, both a performer, composer, producer, and young entrepreneur.
The albums of the Rennes-based group Columbine have always been a clever mix of solo tracks by Lujipeka, Foda C, and collaborative tracks. For these first tracks, Lujipeka maintains the fundamental bases of the collective by blending personal compositions and working with his long-time collaborators (Junior Alaprod, S2Keyz, Heezy Lee…). A mix that promises to be eclectic and rich, halfway between French guitar-vocal songs, pure rap, and indie rock. After Ahou, a first music video posted late last year where Lujipeka raps over a melancholic beat, Palapalaba marks a return to his roots with its more aggressive and deconstructed instrumental, written, composed, and produced by Lujipeka himself.
Lujipeka, a singular and accomplished artist, invents music in his own image, between the freedom of a Tyler The Creator, the rawness of a Kurt Cobain, and his lanky gait à la Iggy Pop.
