Complete trio sonatas
Description
If there is one disciple of Johann Sebastian Bach whose legacy has been widely assured, it is Johann Gottlieb Goldberg. But this destiny he owes in fact to his duties as harpsichordist for Count Keyserling: during the latter's bouts of insomnia, Goldberg had to play for him the famous variations that he had commissioned from the cantor of Leipzig. This has undoubtedly long obscured the fact that Goldberg was also an excellent composer.Apart from his two only surviving cantatas (recorded on Ricercar), his work is essentially instrumental, and the trio sonata genre occupies a significant place in it. Here they are gathered in their entirety, including a sonata in C major long attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach (BWV 1037).Buy Complete trio sonatas at the best price
