Made It !/Limited Pink Vinyl

Description

Nourished by 90s indie alternative, Lucky Break's music blends the emotional sincerity of Fiona Apple, the candid warmth of Bedouine, and the Americana-tinged alternative rock of Lucinda Williams. Fans of Alvvays, Hole, Phoebe Bridgers, and The Breeders will find familiar influences. Lucky Break is a cartoon character, a young girl with a guitar, an ever-expanding vessel for emotions related to artistic creation. She can be both very sad and very joyful, living between two worlds. On her debut album, "made it!", released by Fire Records, Lucky Break builds a new universe for her character. "made it!" brings together songs written between the ages of 19 and 23, reflecting the uncertainties of early adulthood, the end of a first significant relationship, and learning self-affirmation. Tracks like "Crush" combine powerful lyrics with a strong rhythm and incisive bass, while "Head Down" uses bright, dreamy guitars to explore themes of politics, consumer society, and moral complacency. Intimate, direct, and emotionally precise, Lucky Break's songwriting is enhanced by an expressive and versatile vocal performance that explores a range of moods and styles throughout the album. Produced with Elliott Woodbridge in Burbank, "made it!" is a playful and self-assured debut album by a young artist who has already found her voice and confidently embarks on a promising future.
