Sergeï is the furious project of a young percussionist who trained in a rather classical way: holder of several conservatory prizes and a Master's degree from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon, as well as a laureate of the Fondation de France "Déclic Jeunes" grant. In 2013, Lucie moved into pop and was propelled to the forefront alongside Moodoïd, then went on to play drums for others on projects: Aquaserge, Yuksek, SusheelaRaman. This involvement in other people's music quickly sparked her desire to devote herself to her own music. From these beautiful escapades was born Sergeï, music that claims to be neither more learned nor more erudite; just music whose horizon keeps expanding with the dancefloor as its target and the clearly expressed will to tell her own story on a record. Lucie then locked herself in her studio, gathered her instruments, summoned her accomplices for a night and forever such as Chassol, Vincent Ségal, Halo Maud, Julien Gasc, etc., with the troubled idea of making, without a computer or artifacts, an instrumental and percussive music tailored for dance and the night, with the ambition of breaking down borders, shaking up genres, and making the dancefloor more beautiful, softer, bigger, smarter, and more open.
