Lisbet Guldbaek is a Scandinavian singer who has created a very personal universe throughout her journey in musicals & as a sidewoman (Les Dix commandements, Hair, Nine, Seal, Johnny Hallyday...). She introduces us to the songs from her new album "The Beautiful," born from her meeting with Pierre Bertrand, a composer & arranger with multiple influences (Paris Jazz Big Band, Nice Jazz Orchestra, Claude Nougaro, André Ceccarelli). Lisbet takes us into the roots of Anglo-Saxon music, revisiting some pop, folk & country standards in a very original way. Lisbet's pop/folk influence and Pierre's jazz influences result in a subtle blend of these musical genres. The initial idea, which motivated this album, was to revisit the songs that have marked Lisbet's life & made her resonate... To evolve these songs as if they were coming from a guitar to transform them into works with orchestral dimensions. During the work with Pierre Bertrand, original songs emerged, forming an album with the covers that is connected by stories of women. Delicious & refined pop, to be discovered on stage.
