Lisa Batishvili presents City Lights, an album that takes us around the world. The violinist introduces us to her favorite cities through 12 tracks that represent them, from Vienna to Buenos Aires to Paris... The pieces chosen by Lisa Batishvili are as varied as these destinations, ranging from Classical Music (J.S Bach, Johann Strauss…), Jazz (Michel Legrand), Tango (Astor Piazzolla), and Film Music (Ennio Morricone and Charlie Chaplin). Nikoloz Rachveli worked on the arrangement of a large part of these pieces, notably on the opening of the album: a suite paying tribute to the music of Charlie Chaplin's films, whose 130th anniversary was celebrated last year. Lisa Batishvili was also able to collaborate with Till Bronner (Trumpet), Miloš Karadaglic (Guitar), and Maximilian Hornung (Cello) on this recording, as well as with her compatriot, the famous Pop singer Katie Melua, who presents an original song: 'London'.
