{"product_id":"lina_fado-camoes_2024_pia","title":"Fado Camoes","description":"Three years after the success of her album with producer and musician Raül Refree, which earned her a nomination at the Victoires du Jazz 2020, fado singer Lina continues to surprise us with her audacity. She is now back, even more powerful, not only with her inimitable voice, but also through her composition of several songs, alongside British producer and musician Justin Adams, based on the poetry of Luís de Camões, with an album simply titled 'Fado Camoes'. A new chapter opens with Justin Adams, a renowned British musician, composer, and producer, an accomplice of Robert Plant, who has produced for many illustrious artists, including recently Souad Massi and her essential 'Sequana'. Justin Adams has always embraced the idea of starting from solid structures, from languages rooted in tradition, whether blues, folk, or certain African music, and giving them other perspectives, hence his current desire to approach fado and Lina's voice. Beyond the grace and ease that surround the singer's voice and the crystalline chords of the Portuguese guitar that bring us back to fado, 'Fado Camoes' also has an atmosphere of openness to the world. As if the duo set out to search for the origins of fado, this music created in port districts and influenced by travelers from both Europe and Africa. This album places Camões' poetry in scenarios imbued with melancholy and suspension, but also with a celebration of existence. Lina's voice was accompanied in the studio by Pedro Viana's Portuguese guitar, John Baggott's piano, keyboards and arrangements (a musician and composer who has worked with Massive Attack and Portishead), as well as Ianina Khmelik's violin on two songs. Justin Adams is present on almost all songs on guitar and percussion. And for the duet \"O Que Temo E O Que Desejo\", Lina invites the leading figure of Spanish folktronica, Rodrigo Cuevas. From her periods of musical evolution and broadening horizons, Lina has decided to take us on a journey into Camões' poetry with a renewed sound, whose heart is and remains her vocal expressiveness, sensory, pulsating, touching and full of life, all carried this time by an enchanting and minimalist composition, just enough to let the singer's talent shine.","brand":"Lina","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55304297185624,"sku":null,"price":20240308.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/4250095811067_80720f1a-6ecb-4fbc-be32-17e1c7f770fb.jpg?v=1772564901","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/lina_fado-camoes_2024_pia","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
