In 2017, Liam Gallagher released his highly anticipated first solo album, 'As You Were'. The Manchester "enfant terrible" worked with two producers for this album, recorded in London: Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia, The Shins, Lily Allen...), who produced and played on four tracks, and Dan Grech-Marguerat (Lana Del Rey, Mumford & Sons, Tom Odell...). The result is exactly what one would expect from a Liam Gallagher solo album: a contemporary sound influenced by the 60s/70s, for which he has a great passion. For the cover, he enlisted photographer and stylist Hedi Slimane. "As You Were" debuted at number one on the UK charts, selling more than the rest of the UK's Top 10 albums combined, and earning a gold certification in its first week. A critical and commercial success, it was certified platinum in the UK.
