{"product_id":"letters-to-cleo_aurora-gory-alice_2025_disco-bertus-france","title":"Aurora Gory Alice","description":"The first album by Letters to Cleo offers a classic story of meteoric success, typical of indie rock, a genre unfortunately all too rare these days. The band was on the verge of breaking up (singer Kay Hanley had already launched another side project) when they released Aurora Gory Alice on a small local label (Boston) called Cherrydisc Records in 1993. A year later, after heavy radio play in New England, Billboard finally reviewed the album, and the next day, the band played a highly acclaimed show at the South by Southwest festival. Major record labels then took notice, and Giant Records, a Warner Brothers label, signed Letters to Cleo, reissuing the album in 1994. But fame and fortune were still elusive until Giant was asked to contribute to the soundtrack of the television series Melrose Place and include \"Here \u0026amp; Now\" on it. Success, though late, was immediate: the song climbed into the Top 10 of the Modern Rock charts, and the album also entered the charts. This success was well deserved. Aurora Gory Alice offers intelligent and melodic indie pop, elevated by Hanley's captivating voice.","brand":"Letters To Cleo","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57317315182936,"sku":null,"price":20251205.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/0848064020264.jpg?v=1779112292","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/letters-to-cleo_aurora-gory-alice_2025_disco-bertus-france","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
