A magnificent program of French symphonic music from the 1880s to the 1930s, a repertoire in which Les Siècles have long proven their mastery (multiple Chocs de Classica, Trophées de Radio Classique, 4 keys from Télérama, Grand Prix de l'Académie Charles-Cros, Diamant d'Opéra Magazine and Diapason d'Or for their previous records devoted to Berlioz, Saint-Saëns, Debussy and Ravel). As always, the orchestra has opted for period instruments that reveal unheard-of colors, both in the timeless masterpieces of Debussy and Dukas and in the suites, much rarer on record, taken from the ballets of Lalo and Roussel.
