Fred RENAUD and Christian DARGELOS, respectively guitarist and bassist-singer of the band Marquis de Sade, formed LES NUS in 1980. But after a first album in 1982, the band broke up in 1984. In just four years, LES NUS established themselves as a benchmark for many of their peers. In 2013, the idea of a reunion began to take shape for the Transmusicales de Rennes festival. But Fred suddenly passed away a few weeks before the event. The concert went ahead anyway, but as a tribute. Finally, encouraged by the reception of their performance in Rennes, the idea of an album took shape, then materialized in July 2015. This new album recomposes a unique repertoire, already celebrated by NOIR DÉSIR's cover of the cult "Johnny Colère" on their album Tostaky and the strong tribute from Étienne DAHO who is now producing the track Les Années Reagan. Eleven tracks of epic and literary rock, powerful, dark and refined. And we discover or rediscover the power of these songs and words, the conquering strangeness of Christian DARGELOS's singing.
