*Les Liseuses* is a music album that brings together 10 spoken word readings (with Samir Bouadi, Olivia de Lamberterie, Bernard Lehut, Molecule, Tobie Nathan, Pascale Robert-Diard, Augustin Trapenard…) set to music. From Joyce Carol Oates to Italo Calvino, and even Epictetus, each text, rich in meaning and emotion, is accompanied by an original musical composition that highlights the intensity of the words. *Les Liseuses* gives voice to great texts, embodies words, and invites listeners to experience literature. It's an exciting and unusual way to listen to and rediscover it. Pop, electro, scratch, country, traditional Japanese music, classical…: each reading has its own sound world.
*Les Liseuses* originated from a series of photos of anonymous female readers on the metro, immortalized for a touring exhibition (supported by the RATP).
