Les Frangines is the story of a meeting between two young girls: Anne and Jacinthe. Born to different parents but cradled by the same melodies, these sisters of the heart embrace a lineage with artists from the new pop-folk scene like Boulevard des Airs, Vianney, Passenger, Lumineers, Cocoon…
They will explore these artistic influences together from childhood, each equipped with her notebook. A few years later, they share the benches of the faculty of letters but also a taste for associative and humanitarian commitments. They then try their hand at concerts in bars, in the streets of the different countries they regularly go to explore, on the small stages of their university city. Because on the road, the sibling group grows with each new step. Their "brothers" are all those friends, those passersby glimpsed who, as Brassens sang, "make the path seem short," these travel companions, their first audience in sum.
In 2019, surrounded by Pierre-Laurent Faure and Jérémy Poligné for the arrangements, and Bénédicte Schmitt for the production, these two singer-songwriters choose boldness as the common thread of this first album already certified gold record. The boldness to follow their passions of course ("If I dared"), but also the boldness to meet, in music as in life, the actors of a shared history that is written in the plural. This is notably the theme of "Donnez-moi," their flagship single, produced in collaboration with Vianney, their longtime friend who co-writes and signs the melody of this radiant title.
After having filled a Café de la Danse, a Trianon, and two Olympias (equivalent to a Zenith) in record time since the beginning of their tour, Les Frangines will pass through the Zeniths of Nantes, Lille, and Paris in October 2021.
With 5 bonus tracks including 2 unreleased, this new edition driven by the new single "Pour une seconde" marks the continuation of the success of the first album of soon-to-be indispensable artists.
