Initially planned for release on July 14th
In the early 1970s, organist Leon Spencer recorded a series of iconic soul-jazz albums for the Prestige label. The 1973 album 'Where I'm Coming From' featured a golden repertoire (Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield...) and collaborations with drummer Idris Muhammad, trumpeter John Faddis, and flutist Hubert Laws.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, this work, revered by rare groove enthusiasts, is being reissued in the ultra-high-quality 'Jazz Dispensary' diggin collection and mastered from the original analog tapes.
