Description

Preferring portmanteaus to sonic redundancies, such is the creed of Léo Blomov, a fusion between the real-world man, Léo, and the character of Oblomov imagined by Ivan Goncharov in the mid-19th century. A lazy, lethargic character who no longer leaves his home, never abandoning his sofa and always bundled in his eternal bathrobe. He prefers to daydream, reminiscing about a comfortable childhood to distance himself from the mundane problems of a responsible adult. The Léo Blomov project was born at the beginning of 2018. Initially, I recorded my first demos in my studio-room until Ian Caulfield joined, deciding to help me with production, arrangements, and advising me on the project's evolution. Since January 2021, a live band has been formed, consisting of 5 musicians. The duo format with backing tracks comes to an end, making way for a more vibrant show.
