Rooted in a London or San Francisco of another era, the decidedly sunny Bordeaux quartet Lemon Rose offers a journey to lands reminiscent of the sixties and seventies. The band draws directly from pop-rock, generously offering a clever blend of garage, blues, and sometimes psychedelic influences. Lemon Rose's second EP, *Best Friend*, is decidedly a continuation of its predecessor, *The Bean*. All the tracks are part of the same compositional 'vintage', and these are the songs the band is currently playing live. That said, this second opus is more in-depth than the first. Both recorded at La Nef in Angoulême a year apart, the band sought to improve their sound and also their cohesion, as this second EP was recorded live (excluding vocals). A sound and music always inspired by the greats (the Beatles and company), and always pop.
