The title of the work, \"Sei Suonate à Cembalo certato è Violino Solo,\" reflects the deep complicity inherent in the interpretation of a Bach that moves away from the idea of the continuo supporting a soloist to head, by increasing the technical demands, towards the trio sonata. Completed around 1725, this cycle of high-quality sonatas is generally based on the sequence of slow-fast-slow-fast characteristic of the Italian repertoire, while blending the Mediterranean cantabile with German counterpoint. Schayegh and Halubek, who have been collaborating for ten years, have recorded chamber music discs by Jean-Marie Leclair, CPE Bach, and Giovanni Mossi, and these Bach sonatas are their first collaboration with Glossa as a duo - however, it is worth noting Schayegh's participation in the recent and already successful CD dedicated to the trio sonatas op. 1 by Caldara alongside Amandine Beyer, as well as her presence in numerous recordings by La Risonanza. In their jointly written essay accompanying the disc, Schayegh and Halubek guide the listener through the six sonatas (and the twelve keys that the design of this edition also reflects) and mention the two movements of an earlier version of the final sonata, BWV 1019a, as magnificent encores.","brand":"Leila Schayegh","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":57737783574872,"sku":null,"price":20160122.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/leila-schayegh_sonates-pour-violon-clavecin-bwv1014-19_2016_disco-virgin-music-group","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
