The duo, named for their time spent on the road, consists of Fredrick J. Evans IV (King Mud) on guitar, harmonica, and vocals, and Pete Dio on drums and backing vocals. The initial premise of Left Lane Cruiser's music is to follow what their soul dictates and give it their all. First cousins to the Black Keys and White Stripes, the band has carved a name for themselves in the garage/blues scene through dust and sweat, touring relentlessly. Their music has also benefited from the spotlight provided by hit series like Breaking Bad, Nashville, and Banshee.This new album, 'Claw Machine Wizard,' offers everything we love about Left Lane Cruiser: dirty guitar sounds distorted by fuzz, hillbilly punk attitude, and of course, the blues, always the blues, and more blues.The Indiana trash-blues outfit is back with a high-energy R&B album. "Claw Machine Wizard" is a return to the band's two-person format, and features barn-burning stompers like "Claw Machine Wizard" and "Booga Chaka," alongside blues-punk numbers like "Burn Em Brew" and "High Maintenance." The album even includes a soul/reggae-influenced ballad called "Lay Down," showing that the boys can step out of their comfort zone.Led by the extraordinary slide guitarist Freddy J IV, and backed by drummer Pete Dio, Left Lane Cruiser has been recording albums for over a decade and, through their music, which has appeared in numerous hit TV series such as Banshee, Breaking Bad, and Nashville, they have received critical acclaim worldwide.
