Description

The group led by Mexican singer Teri Gender Bender is releasing a devastating third album featuring prestigious guests such as John Frusciante and Iggy Pop. On September 18, the band created by singer and guitarist Teri Gender Bender released their third album A Raw Youth on the IpecacRecordings label. The main theme of the album is the recurring conflict between minorities and society: the oppressor and the oppressed. Each track is a different story describing youth in a different era. THE BUTCHERETTES have already released two albums, the first Sin, Sin, Sin in 2001 and the second Cry Is For The Flies in 2014. The third opus was recorded in Texas and produced by Omar Rodriguez Lopez, who also produced the two previous albums. It features prestigious guests such as Iggy Pop and John Frusciante. The band's singer Gender Bender was called "the most volatile woman in rock" by LA Weekly.
