The title of this musical collection, Ghost Notes from the Stone Vessel, is a direct reference to Mon Vaisseau de Pierre, a farewell song written by Laurence Vanay when she left the Château d’Hérouville, the legendary recording studio she managed with her husband Laurent Thibault. All selected tracks were entirely written, composed, and recorded at the Château between 1974 and 1985.
