This flavorful collection of folk-blues and country & western ballads, and Yéyé rock, compiled by ALAN BISHOP, gives pride of place to guitar heroes of the 70s and 80s, such as LASHIO THEIN AUNG (nicknamed the Burmese Texan), KHUN PAWYUNN and SAING SAING MAW, from the Shan and Pa'o provinces, in the heart of the Golden Triangle. With the master tapes long gone, these precious recordings, remastered from "collector" audio cassettes, are the only tangible link to a lost generation and a mythical scene that the Sublime Frequencies label was proud to resurrect in 2005 on a CD that has since sold out.
