Bagüala De La Siesta

Description

They are Argentine, but above all musicians, born on the same day 10 minutes apart, Laura and Gianna Caronni settled in Europe in the late 90s to continue their musical studies started on the banks of the Paraná River, in their hometown of Rosario in Argentina. The two sisters were part of the Academic Orchestra of the Colon Theatre in Buenos Aires, as well as various ensembles ranging from Renaissance music to contemporary repertoire, including classical and traditional music. They performed hundreds of concerts from the age of 12 in the main concert halls of Argentina, then they won prestigious national competitions (Antorchas Foundation and National Arts Fund) through which they continued their training in France, at the Conservatoire de Région de Lyon. Then, they worked separately on composition for various dance, storytelling, and theater performances. It was in 2006, encouraged by their compatriot Juan Carlos Cáceres, that they began to work on and perform their own compositions.
Rediscover their first album Baguala de la siesta, released in 2011, notably praised as "THE discovery of the season" by Didier Varrod on France Inter.
