{"product_id":"la-reine-garcon_la-reine-garcon_2021_mdl","title":"La Reine Garçon","description":"A FIRST POP FOLK ALBUM FULL OF GENTLENESS IN THE FORM OF A FEMININE ADVENTURE WITH THE DUO FABIEN GUIDOLLET (FACTEURS CHEVAUX, VERONE) AND DELPHINE PASSANT (VERONE) ACCOMPANIED BY NAÏM AMOR AND ALEX VIUDES (NARROW TERENCE)\nOne enters the world of La Reine Garçon through a well of light in which one encounters a kind of apparition delivering between two murmurs a message both cryptic and clear: \"You are the girl I wanted to be.\" The tone is set, forcing us to look up and follow the traces of a weightless couple, drifting through open landscapes sculpted by the sea, the wind and the question marks, omnipresent on the nine tracks of this album. This couple is Fabien Guidollet and Delphine Passant, who abandon their Verone persona, definitively leaving behind the tutelary figures of cursed lovers to offer us a new adventure in the feminine plural. The main vocals and choruses echo a duality whose contours diminish over a constant dialogue between acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies. Simplicity and sincerity are the watchwords of a recording made in the effervescence of creation, most often in direct takes, while promising soothing music, served by the ample and generous sound concocted by Jean-Baptiste Brunhes (Bertrand Belin, Facteurs Chevaux). After several years of stylistic research and often audacious experimentation, the two musicians embrace in the same surge American folk, English pop, French chanson, Brazilian tropicalism and Mediterranean folklore, as Donovan, Angelo Branduardi or Marie Laforêt allowed themselves in the late 60s. La Reine Garçon also claims great freedom in the format of its songs (from 1 to 5 minutes) and cares little for metronomy, preferring to be accompanied by the percussion of Alex Viudes (known for Narrow Terence, Erevan Tusk, Fredda...) to suggest the relief of an impending storm (\"Mon amour à la mer\") or the sway of a bossa (\"Et si demain\"). Small touches of glockenspiel, mandolin, piano, harmonica, vintage electric guitar complete these light structures, edged with sound illusions signed by Naïm Amor and his polymorphous violin. Another notable break with the past: the lyrics! Fabien abandons the storytelling formula and here plays the card of naturalistic poetry and introspection, delicately but insistently questioning his deep identity and our relationship to appearances (\"Sous la neige\"). With La Reine Garçon, we witness a true transformation at the edge of the sky, both human and artistic. By questioning genres and certainties, Fabien and Delphine draw the contours of a future made livable by the possible fusion between nature and human, dignity and innocence, man and woman.","brand":"La Reine Garçon","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":55311894020440,"sku":null,"price":0.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0898\/4943\/0360\/files\/3700604732914.jpg?v=1760405687","url":"https:\/\/vinyles.com\/en\/products\/la-reine-garcon_la-reine-garcon_2021_mdl","provider":"Vinyles.com","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
