Description

'Atlas', the 7th album by La Maison Tellier, marks the grand return of the group to the folk rock of their beginnings. Fifteen years have passed, during which the French group has, as a stubborn craftsman, refined their know-how: it is time for them to sign a masterful album of music rooted in America, sung in the French language, on which the shadows of Neil Young and Gérard Manset loom. This album, whose recording approached the conditions of a concert, vibrates with the commitment of the five musicians, their telepathic conversations as well as their solitary escapes. They traverse it like tightrope walkers, on a ridge line between gravity and lightness, fervor and peace, alternating driven melodies and heart-wrenching ballads. As the last notes of the album fade away, five close silhouettes persist, stars embedded in the fabric of the vast world, shining with their uncertain light. They have just offered their best: the twelve songs of 'Atlas'.
