After a remarkable first album, La Luz is back with a new album produced by Ty Segall. Following their remarkable debut album It's Alive, the Seattle band returns with a highly anticipated album. Recorded with producer Ty Segall in a surf shop converted into a studio, Weirdo Shrine is louder, more energetic. Having survived a serious car accident shortly after the release of their first LP, the band members reacted to this trauma by embarking on an extremely sustained touring schedule. The guiding principle behind the album's creation was therefore to transcribe the band's inexhaustible energy onto the recording. The album Weirdo Shrine is a natural evolution of their "surf noir" style, more brutal and dynamic, addressing themes such as loneliness, obsession, and death.
